In the Hospital

Injured again

Marie looked at the patient on the bed in front of her, "She's going to be okay, right Stein?" She said turning towards him. Stein was looking away from the scene. "Stein?" She repeated. The professor turned around and adjusted the screw in his head. "The damage she took was critical, I stitched up the worse ones but...." he stopped.
"But what, what's wrong Stein?" Marie asked looking worried. Stein sighed and moved closer to the bed "She used up a lot of energy bringing down that opponent, that along with her injuries, it will take a lot of her strength to regain consciousness."
Marie looked back towards the girl "It's not fair, she saved another student and this is how it turns out....."
Stein looked at the IV drip, "Life isn't fair but those who are willing to face life's struggles will succeed, she has a very strong soul, I'm sure she will recover soon." Stein said putting a hand on Marie's shoulder. Stein proceeded towards the door. "We should go get Kid and the others, they will be wanting to see her" Stein said looking back at Marie "Are you coming?"
Marie shook her head "No I'll watch her while you go get the others" Stein nodded and left the room
"I'll be back shortly"
